Business Start Up Grant

Redditch Borough Council, in partnership with Business Link, Balancing Business and Worcestershire County Council, offer a £750 grant and an opportunity to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to make your new business a success. Business Booster Grant from Redditch Borough Council

The ‘Business Booster Grant’ exists to help young but growing businesses that show specific promise make a ‘step change‘ in their development.  Redditch Borough Council will provide a grant of up to £2,000 to meet 50% of the cost of an eligible project.  The scheme is funded by Redditch Borough Council and Worcestershire County Council.

£1m Loan for Worcestershire businesses

Impetus is a Community Development Finance institution. They can provide funds of up to £50,000.
Loans have been launched following a £500,000 investment by Worcestershire County Council, which attracted a further £500,000 of European match-funding. Impetus will manage the credit scheme which aims to provide funding for local companies of up to £50,000 that can't get credit from mainstream sources.

Are you having difficulty in raising finance from usual commercial sources?

The Advantage West Midlands backed Advantage Transition Bridge Fund can help. The Advantage Transition Bridge Fund can provide loans of between £50,000 and £250,000 to SME businesses based in the West Midlands. Businesses must have a viable business plan but be unable to secure finance to progress that plan from usual commercial sources. (Applicants must have approached their bank or alternative provider first).
