Capital Landscape Project

The Project  began in 2003 and has been highly successful, delivering improvements in the following areas:

  •         Primary footpaths across the Borough
  •         Underpasses
  •         Routes to School
  •         Neighbourhood and Community areas

The original intent of the project was to address potential landscape issues throughout the Borough, e.g.high seasonal maintenance demands.

However, as the project  progressed and developed, the implications of community safety and environmental factors of the landscape have become a priority.

Additional funding has been secured to continue the project, and officers and partners are currently identifying areas where there is the greatest need for improvement and where benefits to the environment and community are highest.

For more information please contact Carl Walker on telephone  01527 64252 x 3421.

Its intent is to address various issues relating to the landscape throughout Redditch with the primary criteria of addressing high seasonal maintenance demands and potential future maintenance implications.

As the Project has progressed and developed in terms of service delivery Community Safety has now become its driving force and Environmental rather than just landscape issues are now being addressed.
