Bin Collection Changes - Coming in June 2013

What is happening?

We will be making changes to bin collection rounds in June 2013.
This may mean your bin day is changed, or for example, your green bin and grey bin collection weeks are swapped over.
It will also allow us to introduce a recycling service to some of the areas that don’t currently have recycling.

We will also be changing to a 4 day working week and starting our collections from 7am.

Why?

We want to be more efficient in the way we operate our bin collection services. Over the years as new houses are built, our rounds naturally absorb the increase; every now and then we need to review them to stop them becoming unbalanced and unmanageable.

By changing some days and weeks around we can be more efficient and:

When are the changes taking place?

The changes are due to take place week commencing 24th June 2013.

Where are the changes happening?

We are still working on different options as to what the changes will be and they will affect some areas but not all.
Our crews are using their experience of the area and special computer software to work out new collection schedules.

How will I know if I am affected?

Once we have the new rounds agreed we will send all households in the district that are affected an information pack with their new collection details in.

We will post information on our website, Twitter and Facebook so follow us for updates.

Please look out for your Information pack being delivered in June 2013.

Please give us a call on 01527 881288telephone for further information.
