After a 4 million pound refit Redditch's historic Edwardian
Theatre opens its doors to the public with a feast of fabulous
entertainment. As one of only six working theatres left in
the country that can be wholly attributed to its famous architect
Bertie Crewe its heritage and pedigree makes the Palace,
architecturally a theatre of national importance.
Equipped to the highest standard and seating 425, luxuriate in
the new, light and airy foyers, enjoy an interval drink in the
comfy bar lounge then be whisked back in time to the glories of the
Edwardian era as you take your seat in the beautifully redecorated
auditorium.
The Palace Theatre welcomes all visitors, regardless of
disability or mobility problems. Guide Dogs are admitted into all
public areas of the building including our auditoria. There
is a lift to all front of house areas, main auditorium and studio.
There are 10 wheelchair spaces in the auditorium, 8 in the stalls
and 2 in the circle. Toilets for disabled patrons are available on
all levels of the theatre. There is an induction loop system
in the auditorium and box office areas for the use of hearing
impaired patrons
The Palace Theatre is home to the Palace Youth Theatre as well
as to the popular local operatic and dramatic societies who perform
there during the year.
