Concessionary Fares Scheme

Redditch Borough Council has approved a new Concessionary Fares Scheme, which has been agreed with the operators.

The main points are:

The new scheme will start on 1st April 2006.
You can continue to use your existing bus pass.
Any journey you make within the County of Worcestershire will be free.
Any journey that starts or ends within the County of Worcestershire will be free
Companions travelling with you when using a Companion Pass will still be entitled to the same concession.
The 30p concessionary fare for Dial a Ride users will remain, as it is a door to door service.

The details of the new scheme are as follows:

Concessionary Fares will apply to the following journeys	Holders of a Blind and Disabled Pass, or an Elderly Persons Pass
Within the County of Worcestershire	Free
Where one end of the journey is within the County of Worcestershire	Free

Note:

1if both ends of the journey are outside the County boundary of Worcestershire the normal full fare will apply

2The above Fares will apply to all time-tabled bus services at any time of the day.

3A change between bus company or bus route, for any reason, is classed as a separate journey.

All single journeys within the Borough of Redditch

The new Scheme is available to any member of the public who wishes to see it. You can see it at any of the Council’s One Stop Shops or Local Libraries.
