Who is eligible to use Dial-A-Ride?
You must be registered with Dial-A-Ride to book a journey. You can register if you are a resident of the Borough of Redditch and you cannot use public transport because you have difficulty walking.

What can I use it for?
You can use Dial-A-Ride for any journey you want to make within the Redditch Borough boundary. You can use it to get to the shops, to visit family and friends, for leisure, for medical appointments or to help you make a travel connection.

When can I travel?
Dial-A-Ride operates from Monday to Friday. Our first pick-up is at 8.45pm, and our last pick-up is at 4.20pm.

What vehicle will I travel in?
Dial-A-Ride has a fleet of modern wheelchair accessible minibuses, with lowrise steps for easy access.

How do I register?
Call us on (01527) 64910 between 10.30am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday. You will need to complete a short registration form over the telephone.

What other services do you provide?
If you are visiting Redditch Town Centre, we can book a scooter or wheelchair from Shopmobility to meet you from your Dial-A-Ride journey. Shopmobility provides free hire of wheelchairs and scooters for use within Redditch Town Centre. For more information on Shopmobility, call (01527) 69922.

What assistance will the driver give me?
Dial-A-Ride is a door-to-door service. Drivers can help carry your shopping from the vehicle to your front door. If you are a wheelchair user, drivers can push your wheelchair from your front door to the bus. However, we are unable to assist you with personal care, or lift you in any way. If you need this kind of support, you will need to bring a helper along with you.

How much does it cost?
We keep our charges as low as possible. If you have a Redditch Borough Council bus pass, you will receive a special concessionary rate. Just call us on (01527) 64910 to find out the current fare.

How do I book?
You book by telephoning us on (01527) 64910. We take bookings from three working days in advance of your journey, and you are advised to book as early as possible. For an appointment with a doctor or at the Alexandra Hospital, you may book from 7 days in advance.

Our telephone line is open Monday to Friday from 9am to 4.30pm. Please note that the booking line is very busy between 9am and 10.30am each morning. If you are unable to use a telephone for any reason, we will make special arrangements for you to book.
