Private Tenants

For People Who Are Tenants of Redditch Borough Council

(These charges form part of the Redditch Lifeline Agreement)

1. Weekly charge of £ 3.25 per week + VAT ( 48 weeks per year)

• Tenants on housing benefit are exempted from paying the weekly charge under the Supporting People Initiative.
• For those who do not receive Housing Benefit, a “Fairer Charging” assessment can be made, which depending on the outcome, may result in a tenant having to pay all or, part of the weekly cost or receiving the service free of charge.

2. Exemption from Vat

Exemption from Value Added Tax is available for certain eligible chronically sick and disabled customers. An application form can be supplied and should be completed, signed and returned to Lifeline at Redditch Borough Council.

3. Method of Payment

Customers are invoiced quarterly, in advance, from the Revenues Department, Redditch Borough Council. Payment can be made by, cash, cheque or by Direct Debit or Standing Order.

2. Exemption from VAT

Exemption from Value Added Tax is available for certain eligible chronically sick and disabled customers. An application form can be supplied and should be completed, signed and returned to Redditch Borough Council Community Services Unit.

3. Method of payment

Customers are invoiced quarterly, in advance, from the Revenues Department, Redditch Borough Council. Payment may be made by cash, cheque or by Direct Debit or Standing Order. Alternative methods of payment can be arranged.
