The Planning Service department is responsible for all planning matters in Redditch, in conjunction with the County Council. The Planning Department strives to create a high quality, sustainable environment and to protect and improve the environment in which people live and work. When considering planning-related matters, the Council has regard to economic, social and environmental implications in order to improve the quality of life for people living, working and visiting Redditch.

The Borough's Planning Team consists of two sections, Development Control and Development Plans.
