Information needed from Member of the public/organisation by Estates Before Issuing Street Licence for use of area in Town Centre.

• Name of person/organisation applying for street licence.
• Address of person/organisation applying for street licence.
• Billing address (if different from above – for issuing invoice to).
• Telephone no./e-mail address of person/organisation applying for licence.
• Purpose for requesting street licence.
• Location(s) requested (exact locations need to be agreed for marking on a plan which will be attached to the licence).
• Date(s) required.
• Reason for street licence (promotion etc.).
• Any equipment being used and size of it (promotional trailer, stall, chair etc.)
• Does the Licensee have Public Liability Insurance (if not, the licence cannot be granted). Minimum public liability £1M preferably £2.5M. Copy will be required before licence can be issued.

Once this information is received, two copies of the licence will be issued by post. One copy must be signed and returned to Estates. The licence does not come into force until the signed copy is received by us.

The current cost of a street licence is £65 per day + VAT. The licensee will be expected to inform the Police, Fire Brigade and Highways of their intentions. Details of who to contact are included on the licence.
