We continually monitor our performance so that we are able to make improvements to our services.
The process starts by setting our priorities and aims for the next three years within our Corporate and Performance Plan 2007-10 (also known as the Best Value Performance Plan)
These aspirations are developed into detailed annual Service Plans that specify the challenges ahead for all members of staff.
To make sure that we remain on track we regularly monitor our performance and compare this with other Councils nationally.
In addition, we are subjected to regular external inspections by Government bodies.
