Polling Stations will be open on Thursday 1st May from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
To vote at these elections you need to have your name included in the Register of Electors -- any applications need to be returned to the Electoral Registration Officer by Wednesday 16th April 2008.
If you require a postal vote or wish to appoint a proxy (someone who will vote on your behalf) you need to return an application form to the Electoral Registration Officer by the following dates:
New postal applications or amendments to existing postal/proxy arrangements - 5pm on 16th April
New proxy applications – 5pm Thursday 23rd April
Emergency (on medical grounds only) proxy applications – 5pm Thursday 1st May

There are New Anti-Fraud Arrangements this year for postal ballot papers - voters are now required to submit their signature and date of birth for the Returning Officer to check against existing records.
