How the Council Procures

The council advertises its contracts primarily on our own website. we also use Chamber of commerce, Federation of small businesses and Supply2gov ,In addition, contracts over the EU threshold will be published in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU). and can be viewed at: http://www.ted.eur-op.eu.int/

Purchases up to £5000

Under the Councils own procurement rules we are required to use approved corporate contracts where available or to be able to demonstrate value for money has been achived and place an official order.

Purchases between £5,000 and £40,000

We are required to obtain three written quotations and place an official order.

£40,000 - Under relevant EU thresholds

We are required to to have a minimum of three competitive tenders leading to a formal contract award.

Procurements over European Union (EU) value thresholds

This is a specialised procurement route, any opportunities will be advertised on our website and through the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU).
