Redditch Shopmobility

Redditch Shopmobility provides FREE use of battery powered wheelchairs and scooters, as well as manual wheelchairs and other mobility equipment. 01527 69922

Who can use it?

You must be registered with Shopmobility to use equipment. Anyone who has difficulty walking is eligible to register, such as people with disabilities, older people, and people recovering from an accident or illness. We will find the appropriate equipment for you, and train you in how to use it. To register you must supply two forms of identification.  One of these must contain your photograph, and one of these must contain proof of your address.  If you are unable to provide appropriate identification you will not be able to use our equipment, so please contact us before you visit if you have any queries.

What can I use the equipment for?

You may use the equipment within Redditch Town Centre for shopping, leisure activities, or any other reason. Please see map for permitted areas to use equipment.

What support do you provide?

Shopmobility can assist you in getting from your vehicle into the centre. We can help you carry your shopping and load up your car. However, we are unable to assist you with personal care, or lift you in any way. If you need this kind of support, you will need to bring a helper along with you. With prior notice (and subject to availability), Redditch Shopmobility can provide an escort to assist you around the town centre. If you are unable to get to the Shopmobility Centre Shopmobility staff will be happy to meet you with a wheelchair or scooter at any prearranged point in the Town Centre.

Where is Redditch Shopmobility?

The Shopmobility Centre is on the ground floor of Car Park 3, which is at Access 3 off Redditch Ringway.

Do I need to book?

We can only guarantee that an appropriate scooter or wheelchair will be available for you if you book in advance. We strongly advise that you book 24 hours in advance of your visit.

How do I book?

Just telephone (01527) 69922 between 9am and 5pm, Monday to Saturday.

When are you open?

Monday to Saturday:
9am to 5pm

Third Tuesday of every month:
10.30 to 5pm

Bank Holidays:
10.30am to 4pm

Sundays before Christmas:

Shopmobility is usually open on Sundays in November and December.
