Food Safety & Hygiene Training

Redditch Borough Council offers a range of Food Safety training options in order to assist businesses’ compliance with new food safety legislation, planning, organising food safety management systems, and devising effective HACCP systems.  Redditch Borough Council is an accredited training centre for Chartered Institute of Environmental Health and provides nationally recognised leading training qualifications.

Significance of staff training cannot be overstated.  Staff training plays a vital role in the production of safe food, helps compliance with the new food safety legislation and essential for due diligence defence.

Redditch Borough Council’s training venue is located within the Town Hall in the proximity of Redditch town centre and training rooms are equipped with excellent audio, video and variable seating facilities.

We offer following courses on regular basis,

Dates and Times

Redditch Borough Council organised training courses on regular basis on demands, for next course date please contact Environmental Health department.

Course cost cover:

  • Registration and examination fees
  • Course materials and handouts
  • Refreshments (excluding lunch)

Terms and Conditions of Booking

  1. Payment must be made in advance of the course
  2. No refunds will be given for cancellations made by the student within 14 days of the start of the course
  3. A full refund will be given if the cancellation is made by Redditch Borough Council
  4. A person who is unable to attend may find someone else to substitute for them although no refund will be made to the original applicant
  5. In exceptional cases of sudden illness, a refund may be made (less £10 handling charge) on production of a certificate from a doctor or hospital
  6. Cancellations made prior to 14 days before the course will be subject to a handling charge of £10
  7. Candidates who fail the examination may resit on another course for a exam fee only.

Important information

Car parking spaces are not provided by the council,

  • We suggest that you use the car parks located around the town centre or;
  • travel by public transport

For anyone who may find it hard to read a written paper, an oral (spoken) exam is possible only for Level 2 courses. This needs to be arranged in advance

Smoking is not allowed any where inthe building. You need to go outside of the building in order to smoke.
