Redditch's new town design makes it an ideal location for car users with an excellent and accessible road network. Buses serve all Redditch areas and the service is focused on journeys to and from the town centre.
A new town centre bus station/ interchange was opened in late 2002. Redditch Council's Dial-a-Ride service provides a door to door service within the borough for residents with mobility problems who are unable to use public transport.
The Shopmobility service provides free electric wheelchair hire for town centre shoppers, and the council's concessionary fare's scheme provides free bus travel in the borough for the elderly and people with disabilities.
A 30 minute train journey takes travellers into the centre of Birmingham.
