The Benefit Section at Redditch Borough Council administers Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefit on behalf of the Department for Work and Pensions. Benefit Officers are also able to offer limited advice on other welfare benefits and eligibility for the new tax credits. The Department for Work and Pensions administers all other welfare benefits and the Inland Revenue administers Tax Credits.
The One Stop Shops at the Town Hall or Batchley, Winyates and Woodrow can all take evidence from you to support your claim to benefit. The One Stop Shop at the Town Hall has extended opening times for your convenience. The customer advisors on the One Stop Shop have all received Housing/Council Tax Benefit training and are kept up-to-date with changes in legislation.
