As one of our three priority areas, Redditch Borough Council is strongly committed to meeting the housing needs of the local population.
Our housing strategy (which takes us to 2004) shows how the Council is assessing and meeting the need for new homes, the need for supported accommodation for vulnerable groups and estimating the cost of improving the condition of existing housing across all tenures.
Consultation with local people is encouraged through borough wide Tenant Compact groups and Local Neighbourhood groups. Consultation also tells us how well we are
managing the housing service and meeting needs.
Additionally, partnerships with service users, housing providers and other voluntary agencies are developed to tackle the needs of vulnerable people who might require support in their home and to help meet local demand for affordable housing.
