The County Council’s Countryside Service officers are supported by a network of volunteer Parish Paths Wardens. These Wardens are nominated by local parish or town councils and use their local knowledge and contacts to help to look after the paths in that particular parish.
The Wardens act as “eyes and ears” on the ground, reporting back to Countryside Service officers, and carrying out some or all of a number of basic tasks, such as path inspections, liaison with landowners, waymarking, vegetation clearance, minor repairs, leading guided walks and writing guidebooks or leaflets.
If you encounter problems such as minor vegetation clearance, poor waymarking, minor maintenance issues or would like some local insight to a particular path please contact the Parish Paths Warden
(36.50 KB) concerned. All other problems encountered on the Public Rights of Way network should be reported to the Countryside Service directly on 01905 768214 or e-mail countryside@worcestershire.gov.uk
