Volunteering with the Countryside Service

Countryside Volunteering Being a volunteer has a great many things to offer, the chance to learn new skills, meet new people, get exercise and fresh air in the out doors, do something worthwhile, or perhaps gain experience towards a new career.

The Countryside Service has a range of volunteering opportunities from being part of a work party in a country park carrying out practical work such as hedgelaying, coppicing or tree planting, to individual volunteers in a variety of roles.

There are also opportunities to be a volunteer in your own community through the Parish Paths Warden and Tree Warden schemes or as a Health Walks Leader, whereby local enthusiasts carry out valuable work in their streets, town or parish.

Volunteers are given a full induction and will be trained in any necessary skills.

If you have time to spare, however small, why not consider becoming a volunteer.
