Highlights

  • Enjoy a day out at Witley Court (English Heritage) once one of England's great country houses today it stands as a spectacular ruin, the result of a disastrous fire in 1937. The gardens are home to spectacular fountains the largest, representing Perseus and Andromeda.

  • Take a journey on board the Severn Valley Railway, Britain’s premier steam railway.

  • Go wild at West Midland Safari and Leisure Park, home to an abundance of wildlife including white lions, white tigers and the latest edition to the big cat family, the cheetah.

  • Visit Hanbury Hall (National Trust) an early 18th century house, garden and park. The magnificent staircase is home to murals painted by Sir James Thornhill and the garden has been beautifully restored.

  • Take a walk around Croome Park (National Trust) the first complete landscape design by Lancelot “Capability” Brown. The Park offers eye-catching views and represents Capability Brown’s idealised vision of nature.

  • Learn about England's greatest composer at the Elgar Birthplace Museum.

  • Take a stroll around one of many gardens on offer including arboreta, landscaped parks as well as an award winning garden centre.
