Childnet International Cyberbullying Film

‘Let’s Fight It Together’ is an award winning film produced by Childnet for the Department for Children Schools and Families to help sensitise young people to the pain and hurt which can be caused by cyberbullying

Safe to Learn: Embedding anti-bullying work in schools

The DCSF has published several documents based on recent research into bullying. These reiterate the important role that schools have in developing anti-bullying cultures, and offer excellent guidance on how this can be achieved. There are also papers on specific areas of bullying; Cyber Bullying, Homophobic Bullying, Bullying Around Race, Religion and Culture, and Bullying Involving Children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities

Three of the documents have been posted onto this site, as follows:

1. Executive Summary of Safe to Learn: Embedding anti-bullying work in schools.

Apart from general guidance, it has sections on cyberbullying, homophobic bullying and bullying around race, religion and culture. It delivers a clear message about applying sanctions, but also about supporting the perpetrators. There is also a copy of the Charter for Action on Bullying, and a list of ideas for schools to consider when drawing up their anti-bullying policy

This is a child- and parent-friendly version of the document. It sets out in very clear terms what cyberbullying is, what forms it takes, and what safeguards we can put in place to try and stop it.

3. Cyberbullying.

This detailed and informative document has excellent guidance for schools, parents and children. It is a thorough piece of research, which has been produced in collaboration with an impressive list of partners, including  internet providers, mobile phone companies, and other experts in the field
