| There are two charging schemes for tuition, Option 1 and Option 2; schools decide which option they wish to use. Details as to which option your school has chosen can be found on the Schools List. Alternatively you can find out directly from your school. If you wish to receive lessons outside of school, you can arrange lessons at one of our Area Music Centres, which operate after the school day. | ![]() |
Option 1 - This is the well-established, popular and flexible scheme in which we charge schools by the hour for services. This allows schools to set their own fees and deal with all of the administration involved. Schools have control over how groups are organised. If your child attends an Option 1 school you should arrange the lessons with the school and will receive your lesson bills from them.
Option 2 -Under this scheme Worcestershire Youth Music deals with all financial and administrative matters centrally. If your child attends an Option 2 school we will bill you directly for lessons. To arrange lessons, first discuss with your school and then either contact us on 01905 333344 to request a prospectus or click on the school where your child will be taking lessons on the Schools List for a downloadable application form.
