The Local Access Forum (LAF) consists of a number of people including ordinary members of the public interested in access issues, members of user groups, landowners, people with a knowledge of particular sections of the population, together with 2 councillors, (1 district and 1 county council). These people are not part of the LAF as representatives of the groups to which they belong but as individuals who can bring particular experience or knowledge, often as a result of their involvement with those groups, which together can give a wide perspective of local access.
The purpose of the group is to advise the County Council to take a broader view of access issues and policy. In particular the LAF will play a vital role in advising on the Rights of Way Improvement Plan which is an important document to set the direction of the development of access provision in Worcestershire over the next few years.
